Lego Store extravaganza

Posted on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at 4:59 am

If I had to choose a single store for a $1000 shopping spree, it’d probably have to be the Lego store. Lego stores are found in many malls, and sell Lego sets. Lego is one of the greatest toys in the world, allowing unlimited creativity for all ages. There is little more satisfying than snapping the final piece into place in your very own Lego creation. $1000 at a Lego store would afford a vast number of pieces moving any large Lego project well within anyone’s reach. Imagine wanting to build a Lego Empire State building, and knowing that you had the Lego capital to achieve it. That is true joy.

Early Morning solitude

I have had a fair number of jobs in my life. I’ve worked backstage at a theatre. I worked for a while at an engineering firm. I even worked in a warehouse, hauling boxes in and out of trucks. None of those jobs compare to my favorite job though. When I was younger, my first job was delivering newspapers. I would wake up early in the morning and go out, walking up and down the streets silently dropping newspapers at peoples’ front doors. The quiet serenity of being the only person outside in the cool of the morning really was something special.

Dream Vacation

If I weregiven the opportunity, my dream vacation would probably be in Alaska in the Summer. Watching the wild animals roam free, and the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets would just take my breath away. Nowhere in the United States is there a wilderness experience quite like what is available in Alaska. While there, I could go on a cruise and go whale watching. That would truly be a once in a lifetime experience. At night, the sky would light up with the aurora borealis, one of nature’s most beautiful creations, while millions of stars shine down from the clear night sky.

My Parents Know

There is only one thing about me that only my parents and my husband know about me. My huge secret is that my middle name only has two letters in it. My middle name is Jo. Although it only has two letters in it, and its not that big of a deal, many people can never guess it right. I never tell anyone my middle name because its something I let people wonder about to make them think what kind of name has only two letters. I had one girl I went to school with geuss for a week and she never did get it right ?

The place that would get my stack

I love going shopping and would enjoy it even more if its not my money Im spending. If I were lucky enough to spend a $1000 at any one store it would be Abercrombie & Fitch.Thats easily my favorite store to shop at because I love their style of clothing and it fits me to a tee. I can get everything I want there and would be very satisfied with the quality of merchandise I picked up. It wouldn’t matter if it’s a simple pair of underwear or an expensive and luxurious leather jacket. I can also get any accessories id need to pair with my outfit. They also have a great scent that seems to do well in attracting the women out there. So all in all, they would provide me with everything Id need and the shopping experience there has never let me down.

My careers at a glance

Posted on Saturday, December 24th, 2011 at 7:34 am

I havent had too many experinces in the work force. The few I have had, have been very memorable. My first job was as a valet at a downtown San Francisco attraction. I worked there for two summers during my high school years. I loved that job because I got to drive all kinds of expensive and exitic cars. I also got to meet and greet a lot of celebs along the way. The second and my current job are as a Flight Engineer in the US NAVY. I have been doing that job for 5 years now. I have gotten to travel the world and enjoy many of the treats that are out there. I have also seen combat in Iraq  and worked on many counter drug missions in the Caribbean. Its my favorite job of the two because of the resposibilty that I have and the adrenaline rush that I get from doing it. There have been many long but exciting hours at this job. I look forward to doing it for another few years at least.

The Pacific Ocean coastline as seen from Valen...

There are a lot of places in the world that I would enjoy visiting. However there is only one that is my dream destination. This place would have to be the exotic island of Fiji. The reason I would go there over anywhere else is because of its remote local, amazing beaches, and just the opportunity to enjoy in some of the South Pacific culture. I have never ventured to that region of the world but I have been captivated by what Ive seen and heard about it. I want to wake up in the morning and look out at the beautiful Pacific Ocean and enjoy the rest of the day by particicpating in one of the many activites that are the to do things there. Hopefully one day soon Ill get to say Ive been to my dream locale.

Ninja

Posted on Friday, December 16th, 2011 at 5:28 am

Most people don’t know that I did karate for 17 years and am a 2nd degree black belt.  I worked my toosh off for it and it is still one of my most proud moments.  Being the youngest student, to being stuck on the belt before black for three years while people passed me, to enduring a grueling 10 hour black belt grading is something that I will never ever forget and makes me…a ninja.  Most people don’t know what it means to be a black belt.  It’s more than just leather wrapped around your waist to keep your pants up, its something worked for, earned and a characteristic of that person.  The focus that person has developed, the discipline and the physical fitness needed to earn it.

Hey Hey look at me!

My best physical feature would be my height.  Being six foot tall really helped me look a lot thinner than I was and now that I still have the baby weight from 2 babies if I were short with this weight still on my I would be morbidly obese.  Another on my favorite features is my natural blonde hair.  I have never died it and am proud of it and that is the only way some people know my daughters are mine, because of the blonde hair.  A characteristic that’s great is my joy.  Most of the time it’s just there, but sometimes I have to work hard at it, but all the time I try to be joyful, excited and happy.  Wether if I’m singing Jingle Bells in August, making fun of a song or dancing like a wild lady I try to always be a smile most people don’t see every day.

Adult Time!

Posted on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 at 3:25 am

I am a mom.  A stay at home mom.  A mom to two children under 2 years old.  I have very few friends and not a lot of money to use on gas or go out and do things.  Having said all this my most look forward to time is time with other Adults.  Whether its a bi-weekly staff meeting where the kids are looked after and I get to do “adult” stuff or if it’s a late night run to the grocery store by myself.  Dates are great and are always a fun time with just me and my husband.  Basically any time where I’m not chasing after, playing with, crying with little people.  Where I’m not responsible for the poopy diaper, the poop in the bath-tub, the tantrums or splayed out toys.  Any time that I don’t have to do this is a well looked forward to time.
