Something that means a great deal to me is my home. Four years ago I bought my first house in a quaint and charming historical neighborhood. I am a handy person and took it upon myself to remodel my house. After several months of this I finished and was amazed at the level of pride and joy I took in the work I did. So now, every time I come home after being away all day I immediately feel warm and safe. There is a lot to be said about creating the space that you live in. Even more so, loving where you live.

Holidays are always a laid back time for me. I am an orphan and do not have much in way of family. So typically, I spend holidays with close friends or by myself enjoying a bottle of wine and a good movie. Within the last four years I have made it a tradition with a dear friend to go see back to back movies in the theater. In any event, despite circumstance or situation, it is a calm and peaceful time for me. There is no clamor, no drama. It is just an easy day that can be enjoyed no matter what I may be doing.

The discovery is considered as the main and initiate one done by the human kind. The fire has domestic and industrial uses. Its uses consist of both simple and complex processes. But the fire is also a dangerous factor. If we look through the reports of human deaths, we can infer that a considerable proportion of people are killed by fires. The fires also claim a lot of wildlife and vegetation. The causes of fires can be attributed to natural as well as humanely causes. As we can’t do anything on the natural factor, we must concentrate on human factors. This mainly consists of humanely carelessness. We can see from the records that a large portion of fires is because of this. The measures to be followed to meet a fire accident are not properly followed by many. Their houses don’t have the facility to withstand a fire. The co2 fire extinguishers for home are the desired elements needed to meet a fire accident at home. These fire extinguishers should be kept in reachable places and should be in working condition. The following of appropriate measures can reduce the possibility of fire.

During my idle time I tend to busy myself with reading, writing, painting, playing music, or napping. If I decide to go out with friends I’m usually found at some small music venue listening to random bands, or at one of my favorite pubs enjoying a pint. From time to time I’ll go to see an opera or a play or a performance of the symphony. When the weather is nice I tend to take my dog to the local park. We trek through trails and wade through creeks. I’m pretty versatile and laid back but at the same time, I’m not afraid to fly by the seat of my pants.

I hate to shop for everything. From clothes to groceries. I only make small exceptions for my favorite little store where I buy all of my vinyl and books. I can get lost in there for hours at a time going through every little thing I find. Music and literature are my life and the world encompassed within a shop that only sells these items is unlike any other store. It’s quiet yet still vibrant. Other than that, I do my shopping online. Away from the traffic, away from the huge groups of people, and far far away from waiting in check out lines.

Winter is a silent force with many unpredictable ways. I deeply enjoy this. From intense fogs to heavy winds, to massive snowfalls pouring down from the skies within an hour. I particularly like the hush that comes from heavy snowfall. If you live in the city, it blankets the town with a hush. People stay off of the streets. If you walk around in it your steps are muffled. It is a personal and intimate silence. Despite the temperatures, it is not a cold thing. Plus, there is a lot to be said about coming inside from the bitter temperatures to a nice cup of hot chocolate or a cup of your favorite tea.

Thursday has been my favorite day of the week since I was ten years old. My grandfather handed me a copy of Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy and one of the opening lines in that book is, “It must be a Thursday. I could never get the hang of Thursdays.” Ever since then Thursday has been a magical and serendipitous day where something extraordinary happens. It could be as simple as a long lost friend contacting me, or an amazing last minute trip has opened up. So this morning, I sit here and wait to see what will come of this particular Thursday.

It should be noted that an affordable powder fire extinguisher must be aimed at the burning fuel and the flames. In the history of calamities, fire has been in count for many severe incidents. How can one forget the Great Chicago Fire in the year 1871 killing more than 300 people and enormous loss to infrastructures? Going back to the 17th century one could witness the Great London Fire. It is said that the culprit of it was a bakery. There is more such heart taking examples of fire being the cause. So, history is evidence. Nowadays, we have a body called fire-brigade which comes as a rescue in case of uncontrollable fire. Generally, it is the carelessness of one’s which leads to monstrous fire. Throwing cigarettes without extinguishing it, careless with gas-stove, using poorly insulated devices, etc. Forest fire is also the cause of minor negligence and this is great loss to environment via deforestation. Hence, fire although useful can be unsafe in society. So fire safety is an essential measure.

A while back I lived in Las Vegas for about eight months. During my stay there, I worked at a wax museum, and have to say it was one of the most unique jobs ever. You got to work with tourists all day and every day, which always promised something new. You learned about the painstaking details that go into making a wax figure, ranging from taking hundreds of pictures and measurements, to carving the clay by hand, to casting the wax into a mold based on that clay, and that’s only the beginning. Often times, the clothes actually belong to the person that is being represented. We even had several of our celebrities come in to switch clothes with their figure. Talk about exact!

When I first moved to Colorado, I didn’t think it was all that great of a place. Despite having the Rocky Mountains, it’s pretty flat here. Little did I know though the vast wealth of things there are to do here. You can literally see every different climate here. You can hike through sand dunes, or you can snow shoe in the mountains. You can float down a river, or run a marathon. Along with the outdoors part of Colorado, there is no shortage of restaurants and breweries here, so there’s always some place new. If outdoors or dining aren’t your thing, how about a baseball, football, basketball, or hockey game? We have it all!
